Becky Brown, Board Member
Becky Brown is a native Mainer. She grew up in Worcester, MA and
graduated from Wellesley College in 1962. She taught music and
drama in Washington, DC both as a soprano soloist and pianist.
She worked with the Federal Council on Arts and Humanities and
authored a book about National Trust for Historical Preservation
projects. Becky returned to Maine in 1981. She has performed with
Portland Choral Arts Society and served on Maine Arts Commission.
With Nancy Freeman she founded the Round Top Center for the Arts.
She was also a founding member of the Damariscotta River Association
Land trust and served on that board for many years. She is now
engaged full time in real estate in the mid-Coast Maine area.
Becky has two grown daughters and 3 grandchildren.
