Judy Falk, Vice President
Judy, a retired psychotherapist, is a long time summer resident
of Nobleboro and moved to Maine in 2003. She returns to Washington
for a couple of months in the winter. Before retiring she had
a private psychotherapy practice, specializing in women's issues.
Judy has had a lifelong interest and love of classical music and
has enjoyed attending Chamberfest concerts for the 9 years of
their existence. In Maine Judy is a volunteer monitor of rare
and endangered plants for the New England Wildflower Society and
the State of Maine's Dept. of Natural Resources and also spends
time enjoying the great outdoors - canoeing, hiking, swimming
and gardening.
Judy is on the Advisory Board of the Kieve Affective Education
program and is especially involved in assisting with the new residential
term for girls in the sophomore year of high school, which will
be launched in August 2004 at the Darling Marine Center. In addition
to Salt Bay Chamberfest Judy has just finished 10 years on her
local Planned Parenthood affiliate in Washington, DC. Judy received
The 1984 Washingtonian of the Year award, awarded by the Washingtonian
magazine, along with Dr. Renee Jenkins, for co-founding the Center
for Youth Services, which was established in 1979.
Judy received her BA in History from Wellesley College, her MA
in Government from Boston University and her masters in Mental
Health from Johns Hopkins. Judy and her husband David have three
married children and four grandchildren.
