picture of Jennifer Frautschi

Winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, Jennifer Frautschi has made recent appearances as soloist with Pierre Boulez and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Christoph Eschenbach and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Gerard Schwarz and the Seattle Symphony. Selected by Carnegie Hall for its Distinctive Debuts series, she gave her first New York recital at Weill Hall in April 2004. She has also given debut recitals in many of Europe's foremost concert venues, including London's Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and the Salzburg Mozarteum. Equally at home in the classic repertoire and in 20th and 21st century works, Jennifer has performed in the past two seasons alone the Britten Concerto, Poul Ruders’ First Concerto, Steven Mackey’s Violin Sonata, and Mendelssohn’s rarely played D minor Concerto, along with such standards as the Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Berg Concerti. She is an avid chamber musician and will appear this summer at Chamber Music Northwest, the Rome Chamber Music Festival, the Newport Music Festival, and Moab Music Festival.
