A
two time Grammy nominee, and winner of the European Classical
Prelude Award for the recording Yiddishbbuk, music of Osvaldo
Golijov on EMI Classics with the St. Lawrence Quartet, Mr. Palmer
has enjoyed an ongoing collaboration with the quartet and is hailed
as one of the champions of Golijov's great klezmer quintet The
Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind. Todd is also a member of
the touring group Spoleto Chamber Music USA, which has been heard
around the country for seven years and on annual NPR broadcasts.
An accomplished arranger, his chamber suite of Messagers
ballet The Two Pigeons and Weber's Invitation to the Dance have
received a number of performances around the country as well as
airings on NPRs Performance Today.
